Kia Ora,
I am Shannon, a New Zealand registered Speech and Language Therapist based in Oamaru and the driving force behind S Eckersley Speech Pathology. I am originally from the Waikato but have called Oamaru my home since 2020.
I graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2019 with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology (Honours) and have been supporting children and families ever since. I have worked with a wide range of clients with diverse communication needs, including neurodivergent individuals, as well as those who simply need a little extra support to reach their full potential.
My approach is grounded in empowerment, connection, and high-quality care, which is what led me to establish my own practice in April 2024. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, baking, and spending time with my family.

I am Angela, a New Zealand registered Speech and Language Therapist. I grew up in Timaru and spent several years in Dunedin for my undergraduate studies before moving to Christchurch, where I completed my Master of Speech and Language Pathology in 2025.
I have long‑standing family connections in Oamaru and have enjoyed being involved in the local area during the summers I’ve spent here.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, rock climbing, tramping, and spending time with friends.
I am excited to support you and your children in ways that make a positive difference in their communication and everyday lives.
